Real Betis are set to make another move for Real Madrid’s Daniel Ceballos when the January transfer window reopens.
Ufabet reported on Sunday that Real Betis are planning to make another move for Real Madrid reserve midfielder Daniel Ceballos in January after William Carvalho’s injury kept him out for a long time.
Real Betis will be without Carvalho for around five to six months after the Portuguese midfielder ruptured his right achilles tendon during Friday’s 2-0 win over Leganes, leaving coach Manuel Luis Pellegrini with only Marc Roca, Johnny Cardozo and Certi Altimara available in midfield.
Real Betis are reportedly planning to strengthen their midfield in January, with Ceballos one of the options, having previously trie to sign the 28-year-old midfielder from Real Madrid but fail.
Betis will have more funds to work with Promotion Ufabet after Rodrigo Sanchez Rodriguez, or Rodri. The 24-year-old midfielder, joined Qatari club Al-Arabi for €8m. But the main obstacle is whether Real Madrid will be willing to let Ceballos leave in the middle of the season.
The 28-year-old has turned out 150 times thus far for Real Madrid while chipping in with seven goals and 14 assists. However, with game time coming at a premium. A departure from the Santiago Bernabeu might be on the cards in one of the two transfer windows next year.
Widespread speculation surrounded Ceballos in the summer transfer window before he ruled out a departure from the Bernabeu. However, a winter exit might be on the cards for the Spanish midfielder, with Real Betis keen on re-signing him in the coming months.
