Newcastle boss Eddie Howe boasted his side are heading in the right direction this season after coming from behind to beat Wolves 2-1.

“It’s a big win for us. Our away game has some question marks to answer and that’s a big step for us.”

On his half-time substitution: “I wasn’t happy with it at all and the boys knew they had to perform. We had the ability to make those changes. I have to give credit to the players who came on, everyone played their part and it was a big win.”

“I could feel it (too much urgency) at the start. And then calmed down a bit and Fabian Schar goal gave me a confidence boost. It was a classy moment from Harvey (Barnes) and then we got the cramp and all that stuff, fighting at the end to get it done.”

Speaking about Newcastle’s start to the season, he said: “I think we’re on track in terms of our performances. I think it’s a step in the right direction.”

“We can improve in many areas and that’s ยูฟ่าเบท what we’re working on this week. We have a very strong group of players and we have to keep it that way.”
